Bau Neutron Diffraction Award

The Bau Neutron Diffraction Award honors the memory of Professor Robert Bau, a cherished teacher, mentor, and leader in the crystallographic community. During his long tenure at the University of Southern California and his service as ACA President in 2006, Professor Bau made pioneering contributions to single-crystal neutron diffraction and its applications in chemical and biomacromolecular crystallography. Established in 2010 and presented every three years, the award recognizes exceptional research achievement in neutron diffraction, reflecting the scientific excellence and generous spirit that defined Bau’s career.
